          Biography

          Picture
Fredrik was born in 1980 in the south of Sweden. His style of music is quite hard to define. Imagine putting metal, jazz, fusion, rock and blues in a kitchen blender and then press the button.

After getting his first guitar at the age of twelve, Fredrik started practicing, mainly learning songs in the vein of Guns N' Roses and Metallica. For the next couple of years Fredrik was quite obessed with playing and practiced a lot. During these years he took private lessons from many teachers, including  Swedish guitar virtuoso Mattias IA Eklundh.
Later on Fredrik also developed an interest in jazz/fusion music with players such as Allan Holdsworth, Brett Garsed and Shawn Lane to name a few. These years also consisted of heavy music theory studying.
Throughout the years Fredrik has also got lessons from Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal and Dave Martone to name a few. All of this has contributed to Fredriks personal style of playing.

In 2011 Fredrik released his debut solo album "Silhouettes". Dark and romantic music with influences from progressive metal, jazz/fusion and modern classical music. The album has three prominent guests on it as well; Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (Guns N' Roses), Mattias IA Eklundh (Freak Kitchen) and keyboard virtuoso Lalle Larsson (Agents of Mercy). Many crirtics agreed that this album contains very original and ground breaking music.

Beside writing and recording his own music, Fredrik is also working as a session player, guitar teacher and clinician. Throughout the years Fredrik has also been writing columns for Swedish guitar magazine Guitar Ink and also for various websites. Fredrik has also got mentioned and reviewed  in various guitar magazines (Guitar Player, Axe Magazine etc).
